It was at my very first glance and I was transported back to a time when men were gentlemen and women were ladies. Oh what an unexpected present day gift to meet those that move, speak, and act with the grace and elegance of days gone by. *MM
Her hair is ablaze in the sunlight, her eyes like emeralds and still she does not see the beauty she is. She was born in the wrong era. A time when tailored men were sophisticated and well mannered. Where corseted ladies were demure and charming. Still she carries herself with the grace of days gone by and this makes her all that more desirable. She is vulnerable but not weak, strong but not hard, smart but never lording her intelligence over those of lesser understanding or experience. Life has been her teacher with not all the lessons easy but she has learned them well. I knew she was special from the moment I laid eyes on her photograph. It could have been in black and white and I still would have seen her rainbow of colors. She makes my pulse quicken when I think of her…and brings a smile to my countenance. Some would say that the excitement lies in the chase and not the capture. In this case I do not believe it to be true. So here I am. Not a prisoner but still captive to the beauty she cannot see.
